At Guardian Angels there are many different ways you can support the school, such as helping in the classroom, helping out on school trips and fundraising.
Parent Reading Volunteers
As a reading volunteer we ask parents to commit to spending regular slots in class hearing children read. Reading practice is very labour intensive, and helpers can make a big difference to teachers and children.
If you are interested in volunteering, please talk to your child's teacher or Mrs. Hardweir (Year 6 teacher) for more information.
DBS Check - Before you can work in a school, you need to have a police background check. You'll be asked to fill out a straightforward form which is sent off for processing (about 4-6 weeks). If you have any police convictions, you may still be able to volunteer, depending on the kind of conviction.
School Building Fund
To help us continue making improvements to the school we ask for a minimum contribution of at least £1 a week per child. Where you have two or more children attending the school, we would ask that you commit to £2 a week per family. Where you find yourself unable to commit to regular payments, we ask that you aim to contribute what you can when and as you are able. The white envelope is provided for your convenience.
If you are a working parent we ask that you sign up to Gift Aid because by doing so we can claim back up to 25p per £1 you contribute. A gift aid form is available from the office and for download here:
To all our parents who have been regular contributors – THANK YOU! Your consistent help has made a difference.
