At Guardian Angels we have a committed Governing Body who work actively to help improve and support the school. The governing body makes decisions on matters such as performance targets, school policies and the school's development plan. Governors monitor the impact of policies and oversee the use of the school's budget.
Our body is made up of 10 governors. There are:
elected by the parents.
- elected by the staff
appointed by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Usually these are people with no other links to the school. Anyone can volunteer to be an LEA governor.
- appointed by the governing board itself. These are local people who the governing body feel will complement the school with their skills and talents.
associate members are not actually governors but can be appointed to serve on committees and attend meetings of the full governing body. They do not have the right to vote at meetings of the full governing body.
Each governor is appointed for a four year term. The Board meets at least twice a term and the governors work through two committees, Curriculum & Finance and General Purposes.
If you would like to contact the governors you can either write to The Chair of Governors c/o Guardian Angels Primary School, or, if your letter is of a non-confidential nature, you can email via the school email address:
